hey,
I urgently need to know of a way to add a number of fields corresponding to a unique ID.

I have an employee database, there is a sick leave table. Each time an employee takes a sick leave, the number of days she/he takes the sick leave will be stored in seperate records. What i want to do is to add up and display the total number of days an employee has taken leave.

Please help! thanking you all in advance

Why do you not just write a query, where all your tables are joined by employeeID, and add up the separate fields?
 
You need to use a what is called a totals query. You will be grouping by EmployeeID and Sum Days Taken. Check Access help for more info on a Totals Query.
