How can I get the path of an embedded picture used as command button picture

You just want to know where the pic is located, correct? Select the button in design view, Display the properties and it should be there.

I can't view the path of the picture because it is embedded

When a picture is embedded, then it actually exists inside the database. There isn't a path to it in that case. If you want the picture, you could capture a screen image and then paste it inside Paint. Then it's just a crop job.
