Hi everyone,

I am a stay at home mom that is pursuing a career in database development. I got my Access Certification a year ago although I still have so much to learn. I am now studying to get my oracle certification. Because I am not currently working I am trying to find ways to practice using Microsoft access so I can retain some of my knowledge and gain even more.

Hi Curls8, Welcome to AWF.

I'm not sure if this would work for you, but I thought I should at least mention it. I am building a course which I intend to put on Udemy. It would suit me to have some input from someone who is keen to learn MS Access. I got the idea for the project to develop into a Udemy course from this thread here:- http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=287953 I want to reproduce that Car Hire display Form because it's development will cover many of the intermediate level features of MS Access, and thats the level I want to set my course at. If that's of interest to you then send me a private message and we can take it forward. In the last post in that thread I show a YouTube video of where I've got so far. YouTube HERE:- https://youtu.be/DTIrf2BuBJk ... The other aspect of it is that it's not just a Form to show CarHire, it could be adapted to show holiday dates for employees, hotel room bookings, cinema seating and other similar event organisation tasks like a seminar. And I'm sure there's loads of other things an interface like that could be used for. That's why I'm interested in developing this project as a teaching aid, because besides learning some very useful MS Access techniques, the students will end up with useful tool.

Cheers Tony...

Thank you. I will look into. It looks like something I would have liked to do but I will be taking 3 classes this semester and am not sure how much time I would have left over to add a new one. I am not sure how to send a private message..is it through the skype link that is by your profile?

I think you need to post an introduction here yourself Robert, seeing as this is your first post!
