User entered criteria for reports

Hey

I want to be able to create a report that displays records after the user has entered a specific date!

How do I go about doing this? say for example I wanted to list how long people had been working for me for less than a year from 12/12/01! and i want to be able to enter this date differently everytime to bring up different results.

Would I have to use a query?a table?

When helping can you please be very specific as I occassionaly find it hard to understand complicated jargon.

Write a parameter query which will enable the user to select the dates you require. Base your report on this.
