Hi,

I'm having a bit of trouble getting my head around the user level security in MS Access 97. It seems to me that when I set up user-level security it is set up for MS Access as a whole rather than for a particular individual db.

I do not want to have to log in every time I open Access or anything like that I just want to incorporate some user-level security on one particular db only

Surely it's possible to do this and I've as usual just missed the point completely :-) Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try looking at "secure a db without requiring users to log on" in MS Access help files.

and then secures the selected objects in the current database.

I still need users to log on as I have a number of different security levels depending on which sections of the db each user has access to. I need user-level security but I want to apply it to one particular db and not to Access as a whole
