i need some help in defining user levels. what are they and how on earth to i go about implementing them on my database.

I'm new to access so not too good with codes yet!

Thanks for any help anyone may be able to provide me with.

From Access Help File:

By using the User-Level Security Wizard, you can apply user-level security with a commonly-used security scheme and encrypt your Microsoft Access database.

1)Open the database that you want to secure.

2)On the Tools menu, click Security, and then click User-Level Security Wizard.

3)Follow the directions in the wizard dialog boxes.

WARNING - before you start messing around with security, make sure you make a backup of your database and also read very carefully the security FAQ document available in the Microsoft knowledge base. If you don't have a clear understanding of what you are doing, you could lock yourself out of your database permanently or end up with a database that seems secured while running on your PC but which is actually wide open anywhere else.
