I know that this has been posted before but i guess, i barely understand the codes needed behind.
Suppose that i don't want to use the Access workgroup facility.
How can i work around my database and setup up my own table for users with corresponding passwords and password level.
Of course i need a log on form to look into this table and would eventually set the user to global so I can use this into a query and filter my form according to the currentUser().
for the security, how can i define security to all my forms base on the level of password given, e.g. a regular user cannot possibly access the user form to add users and delete users for that matter.
Hoping for your help anyone...............
Thanks a lot!!!
Edwin
P.s. An example of this in Access '97 would be of great help.
