I was looking through some of the stuff access has to offer when I came across the calender control. I really like its set up and what I would like to do is create a switchboard to link to the calender then have the user click on the correct date. I need the date clicked to create a table based on the date. I click 2/5/5 the table is labeled 2/5/5. If possable, after the date is clicked I need a form to open for inputing numbers and i want those numbers going into the table based on the clicked date. This possable?

Thanks
Chris

I think that you should re think this one
I need the date clicked to create a table based on the date.

That would mean after 5 years you could have 1825 tables. You could have a table with a record for each day and then have a subform for the items you want to enter. One day would have many records (not tables).

Just my thoughts, its after all your database.

Thats the whole point in using the database. Dont see whats wrong with it?

That many tables would make your database go slow-mo :(

You want a lot of records- not tables.

and make calculations/reporting/maintenance etc. a nightmare.
I suspect you're treating access as a spreadsheet, read some articles on normalisation/ normalization

Justchris,

As I said its your database, so what I would do is try it.

As it starts to grow and grow you will see that we 3 were right and .....

Hey Stef_DK , we have your Crown Prince and his exAussie wife down here enjoying the sunshine while you ...........in Denmark. They are both very popular here in Australia.

Oh... I'm sorry! lol.. in the original post I did mean records... not tables. Ya, I need the new record made on click of the calender based on the date in 1 big table.

I'd put a hidden txtbox on the form - then make a button that adds a record.
Put txtbox.value to calendarobj.value along with the add record code from the button in the calendar objects click-event in the VBA editor (alt+F11 is it?).

@ ansentry
