Using a combo box to filter a subform

In the header of my form, I have two combo boxes, one for name and one for phone number. In the details of my form I have a subform that lists all of the information in a query, which includes the two fields in the combo boxes. What I want to happen is that when the combo boxes are changed, I want the subform to filter out all values other than what's selected. For some reason, I can't figure out how to get them to "talk" to each other. As you can tell, I don't know much about Access, and therefore my problem may be vague. If you think you can help but need more info, please let me know.

Rather than the textbox as shown refer to each combo in the criteria for the specified field (Also on the same line to create an AND condition.

Thanks for the link...I found a different way of doing it after a couple hours of fighting with it, but it always helps to have a couple plans of attack.
