Using logon username to auto fill other forms in db

When I open my task form, I want to set the username automatically to my user name field by using the username from the logon dialog.
Obviously after I logged on, my logon dialog box will be closed.
So can I still set the username to my task form?
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
