Hey all,

I have developed a database and would like to speed up the loading of certain forms. I have a frontend/backend design. I am thinking about using a splashscreen that stays for a few seconds befoe loading the main menu form. I was wondering if I can utilise the time the splashscreen is displayed to "preload" the data from linked tables?

Any insight or advice is welcome!

how many records do you have? there shouldn't be an inordinate delay. The best way is to try and restrict the number of records in your form.

adding a splash screen may "distract" a user, but will only add to startup times.

There are only a few test records in at the minute, less than 10. The forms take a very long time to load normally but when I run the frontend in Runtime it becomes reasonable.
