I was having a problem where the intellisense popup was going away as quickly as it displayed while writing code and changing my unfinished line of code to red text. In addition as I tried to type anything in the editor (commented lines included) the cursor was fighting me while entering spaces on my way to the next word.
Well, I figured out the cause and thought I'd share since l lost about 3 or 4 hours in Google land looking for answers and only finding other folks with the same issue.
The problem was being caused by a timer event firing on a different form that was open. My timer interval was set to 1000 causing the VBA editor to check my code every second instead of waiting for me to complete the line. I resolved it by temporarily setting my timer interval to a ridiculously large number while I'm working within the editor.
Hopefully this can help someone out as it had me pulling me hair out.:banghead: I even threw away some progress by reverting to an older version of my project (pre timer event) in an effort to get away from the odd behavior in the VBA editor.
