Hi,

I just upgraded from Access 2003 to 2013. I changed my exported as .SNP to .PDF. The report was created with page setup of landscape legal size.

When users print the PDF it prints out as portait. I did not have a problem when it was a snapshot, but now users have to open it and do print formatting to get it back to legal.

What can I do during the export so they just can print it, and have it print to legal?

In VBA I am using DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport ..., acFormatPDF,

I just reviewed the referenced post, but it seems to require the user to set some workstation parameters (if I understand the post).

My PDF report has been posted on a sharepoint site where maybe a hundred users can view the PDF report, and they are not necessarily computer literate.

Maybe I did not understand the solution given? Is there something I can do on my part that does not require action on the user's part to automatically print the report in legal?

From what i have read, it would suggest it can only be resolved by the user editing printer settings, although rmal30005 does mention some changes that are and are not made when moving between versions of access (re check the third post on that link).

Ok, looks like the user's will have to open and setup the report themselves to be landscape/legal since they will have different default printers.

I just wanted to do the printer setup for them, if I could.

Thanks

Many users would not even have Access, and I would not want them to have to install anything. That is why I changed from .SNP to .PDF to allow them to do a quick print, and not have to install a snapshot viewer.

Having them open the PDF and do a print setup may just be the least impacting solution.

Thanks
