Hey Everyone....

I'm new here, and have messed about with Access for a little while now but am only just dipping my toe into the world of VBA....do any of you have useful references/books for a complete newbie to get going?

I'm currently writing an access database to handle production scheduling, and need to be able to take the original order date and add x number of working days to produce an estimated due date....and eventually produce a production schedule for the factory.

Hence, the motivation to learn VBA and join this forum!

;)

Hi,

I am in a similarposition and can recommend the Dummies series of books and in particular the following book;

ISBN: 978-0-7645-7411-5

You often find the search function and sample database sections of this forum are brilliant. People are always keen to help out when you hit a wall !

A simple query and the DateAdd function will do what you want without VBA anyway

Personally i have no found 1 dummies book that has been of any help, my library of trials has included software like flash, vba, c#..you'd have thought i'd have learnt by now...if any i buy books from Apress, look for the beginning ... titles, very well written..i gave up on finding numerous online tutorials that covered a small chunk, or wrote so disconnectedly that i lost interest..
