Does anybody understand the vbMsgBoxSetForeground parameter in the MsgBox function?

MSAccess help says: "VbMsgBoxSetForeground: Specifies the message box window as the foreground window"

But isn't the MsgBox always the foreground window?

Thanks,
Jeff

No.

Look up "Modal Dialog" to see the conditions under which your belief is correct. But you can choose a non-modal message box that can become other than the top-most window.

Thanks for the reply The_Doc_Man, but I'm not "seeing the light". I searched these forums and VB Help for "Modal Dialog" and found nothing to help me answer my question.

I am intrigued that you say that one can open a non-modal MsgBox. I didn't think this was possible. Perhaps if you tell me how to open a non-modal MsgBox, that will answer my original question.

Thanks,
Jeff
