Verify Outlook Message Sent

Hi All,

My Access 97 application sends an email notification through Outlook. I use the display mode in the code so that the sender can edit the email before actually sending. I would like to know if the sender actually sent the message (ie pressed the Send button in Outlook). Can this be done?

Use a unique id for each message and place this in the subject field, then at your chosen time of checking, check the sent items folder in outlook for this unique id. I havent got time to do an example but do a search on here for automating outlook and i'm sure your'll find something similar that'll point you in the right direction. This has an obvious flaw in that the user could delete sent items or modify the subject field. The other thing you could do would be to prompt the user via a form to type any required text into a text box, then grab this and pop it into your email's body!!!!
