Hi People...

I am just owndering if there is a way to rotate labels (used in a report heading section) so they appear vertically. I know it is dead simple in Word and Excel but cannot find a way to do it in Access. Any ideas?

Thanks

Go into the properties of your label that you want displayed vertically and set Vertical to Yes.

Set the height and width manually.

Good luck.

Thanks for the response Carol but I do not see a Vertical property relating to labels. I am using Access 97, perhaps this is in Access 2000?

I believe there was a response to a similar post a while back by Mike Gurman, search for posts by him and you may find the answer.

In Access 97 it is not possible to write text vertically.

Here is a work around:
Open Excel and add a TextBox from the Drawing Toolbar. Make it appear the way you want in Excel (right click the textbox to select the text orientation you want to get the text into the position of vertical. After you have the textbox appearing the way you want it, simply copy and paste it into Access.
