View last added record only

Hi there,

I have a table, notes, which has two fields-Notes and NotesDate. I want to create a report based on this table where users want to see only the last record added to the notes table. How can I do this?

Assuming the last entry has the latest date?

SELECT TOP 1 notes.Notes, notes.NotesDate
FROM notes
ORDER BY notes.NotesDate DESC;

Will select the latest entry.
