Hi fellow members

Situation
1 With Access 03 (No SP) , a .mde is created from .mdb within a 1st PC with XPWin/SP2-3 and runs fine.
2 The same .mde is copied to 2nd PC with Vista Home SP1 and is then with the same Access03 (No SP).

Issue
1 Forms with non straight forward RecordSource eg =Left(Field,1) shows messed up display.
2 Many controls on forms do not work at all.
3 If the .mde is recreated within the 2nd PC from the same .mdb such problems don't occur at all.

Question
1 What is happening and why?

Thanks for any advice.

Probably msador15dll is the cause

As follow up

In Vista, Access 03 use Reference: ActiveX Data Objects RecordSet 6.0 Library with a msador15.dll of abt 700k while in XP Win it use 2.8 Library and the .dll is only 57k.

Just a quick Question: Can i simply replace in XPWin with the larger & newer .dll? (maybe need to do it under Safe mode or Command prompt mode). :)
