Visual Basic frontend configuration database access (1 Viewer)

I would like to port my access application to having a visual basic frontend with Access at the back.

My motivation is that I want to learn how to connect from Visual Basic to Access, and possibly one day SQL server.

Its a lot out of my league, and I don't know where to start. I have Visual Basic 6, and don't know how to go about setting up the connection in the code.

Could someone get me started here?

This is a VB question -ian-, you'll get better help from a VB site. You are confusing Access the application environment with Jet the RDBMS that manages data access.
