I have an Access 2010 Front End Db that has a SQL Server Back End. If I publish the Db to SharePoint can I still keep the SQL Server Back End? When users enter data thru the Published Db will it still update the SQL Server?
The short answer is yes, depending.
If you use a DSN through Windows to connect to the SQL server, the next user must have a similar entry on their system in order to use the DB file.
There may be newer features of either Access programming or even SharePoint to allow you to forgo the DSN entry and become universal.
Are the SQL tables too big for a SharePoint List? Access plays very nicely with SP lists.
