On Access 2010 the tool-bar on the left hand side of the screen ( the one that holds my tables, reports ect) is locked. I can still open all the tables and such but I cant resize or move it.

What have i done and can I fix it?

I can provide a screen shot if necessary.

thanks. :)

When you say its locked what do you mean, have you tried use the File Tab look at the Access Options and then in this database search down and then hide the Navigation pane, close the database and re open it then press F11 and the database window (Navigation pane) should open.

I have a screen shot but can upload it till i get 10 posts

Have you tried what I suggested going to the File Tab and then Access Options then Current Database and then Search down for Navigation and remove the tick then close the database once open again press F11 to see if that resolves this.

No luck. :(

OK then can you strip down a copy and upload to something like drop box. Do you have anything in the database for when it opens, VBA code Macro etc that might effect it?

I have a autoex macro on it, could that be it?

What does the autoexce macro do then? what actions and arguments, what if you don't use the autoexec macro? If the database uses a start form you can use the Access Options to open a form when the database opens.

I have the db running fine and need to hand it in on Tuesday, it wont affect my grades it was just annoying me. if there isn't a simple fix for it I can live with it.
