What happens when your tables start getting too big and your entire database starts approaching 2 Gigs, what's next?

2 choices:

(1). Upsize to a larger RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL)

(2). Remove some of the data to a backup db and continue on...

Upsizing would be your better avenue. Less to worry about with archiving old data.

Mine is around 100 Meg with records and about 60 meg with the major tables deleted and compacted.

I can't even begin to imagine the amount of hair you would have pulled out on the way to 2 Gigs :D :D
