I've got a mental blank, I want one of those things that is a text box with little up and down arrows on the right so you can choose a number. What's it called?

A combo box?

Edit: Or maybe it's the 'Up Down' control?

Well it's not a combobox. it's got an up arrow AND a down arrow, and you use it for selecting numbers. You see them all the time, for things, like selecting the time on windows clock. I can't find "up down" control in the list though.

List box has the up and down. Combo box only had the drop down.

Have you checked the active x spin button?

Active X Spin Control seems to be the arrows on their own, without a text box attatched. I've given up now, I'm just going to go with a combo box! But I have hit my next problem! lol.

Did you even try the List Box control? You will not see the up and down arrows until there are more records than what will visibly fit in the control.

I don't think you're giving up as much as you've found your own answer. I'm guessing the spin thing Col suggested is what you you've seen being used in the past. Just couple it with a standard text box a you have it - :)

I've used delphi in the past and it had a control that was a box and arrows. Maybe VBA doesn't have it. Oh well. Thanks for your help people.
