What's Wrong With This Code

Me.[Status] = "Blank Form"
End If

I am running Access 2k and trying to check to see when you press the forward button to go to the next record it'll check to see if it's blank or dirty. Only thing is, it reports "Blank Form" at all times even if it's dirty or not.

What I am trying to do is when you come to a new blank form, it says "Blank Form". How can I check to see if [ID] is set to "(AutoNumber)"

Pretty sure the Dirty property indicates that an existing record has been changed in the current session.
I think you need to use

If Me.NewRecord = true then
...
