Hi,

When I had a two-tier setup for our Access app, I was able to find out who was still on with the appropriate code. It was quite useful. However, as soon as we changed to running the app through Terminal Services, all the users had the same machine name; so we need another way to do the same thing.

In Terminal Services, each user has a different ID. I searched the database but didn't find anything that would help with this. I would like to find out what user IDs are still using the app. I would also like to find out who is locking a particular table.

Any ideas.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

I had a similar situation a few years ago and the only solution I had come up with was installing a macro that sent me an e-mail when a user opened a particular table. I don't recall exactly the exact procedure so I can't go into too much detail.

The downside is that some people got upset that e-mails where sent to me by them without their knowledge.

I hope this gives you something to work with.

David
