why 2003 database cannot use in access 97?

hi all,

i have created a program in 2003 database but when i converted to 97 format and try to run it on 97 access, it prompted me errors such as cannot compile library which is telling me that i cant use "LEFT", "RIGHT", "MID", "ROUND" function... wonder wat went wrong... can anyone help? thanks!

The most likely cause is missing library references.

i do not which library references it refers to... do u have any ideas?
