Why can't I update a query in one-to-one relationship

I have a query based on 3 tables all of them linked by a one-to-one relationship. I'd like to update the data of the table at one end where a condition in the table at the other end is true. Unfortunately Access doesn't allow me to do that. Why?

The same thing works in if I just have 2 tables joined by one-to-one relationship. It works as well in another case where I have 3 tables and the first 2 are joined one-to-one and the one I update is on the many side of one of the 2.

Yoour query recordset is probly not undatable, that is, Access can't figure out what to do.

If your queries are equi-joins, try using a right or left joins.
