Hi there!

I'm struggling with a query problem.

I have 2 tables, called PRODUCTION and ALLOCATION.
I have a query based on Product Type, and date.
The query works fine, as long as both tables have records for the Product Type within the date range.
If only one table has a record, I get no results returned.

Any ideas on how to query either/or, not just both?

Thanks in advance,

BeckieO

Taking a stab at it.

In design view select view-> join properties. You can then select what type of join you are wanting. It gives a description of your choices.

I can't explain each one, but if you do a search you join types I am sure you will find something.

HTH gives you a push in the right direction.

If the Production table is the table that has the record use a number 2 join. This means that you want all records from Production table even if there are no related records in the Allocation table.

Bless Ya'll for the quick response--looks like I'm finally on the right track.

Thanks again,
BeckieO
