Why my Access File is to Big

Hi All, basically, I made a database for my work. It has 2 tables 1st with 8 columns ans 2500 registers. And the 2nd table has 5 columns and 2500 registers as well. Then I have 5 append queries and 2 delete queries. Also 9 select queries. 1 form, and 4 subforms. This make my database 53 MB. I had made other similar before but it wasnt that big.
The problem I'm facing is that it's on a server and when people try to work on it it get really really slow...

Any one has an idea why it is tooo big??
