Width of combo box, adjustable with length of contents?

Hi there,

I have a combo box which contains a list of nationalities. Due to restrictions on the form size, this combo box needs to remain the size it is but when the user clicks the arrow to see the list, I need that to expand to the width of the contents because it seems that the list's width is default size of the combo box width.

Is this possible?

I don't know how to make it as wide as the widest content but the List Width] format property can be changed from the default auto, to say 10cm or a value of your choosing.

you set the width of each column

eg 0;4;2

and set the overall width to match

ie 6 in this case

this is the drop down, and is irrespective of the width of the closed combobox
