Win 11 Word spell checker (1 Viewer)

Why do I dread when Win is doing an upgrade. Maybe because I always end up having to spend time fixing something.
I am trying to compose my monthly letter. For some reason spell checker not working.
I have gone into File / Options / Proofing several times. Still not working.

Any Suggestions?

What symptoms are exhibited? Obviously incorrect spelling not identified? Correct spelling flagged? Nothing at all?

Also, it might make a difference to know which version and build of Word you have installed.

Thanks for answering. found the problem. Even though Language was set to US English I un-checked it and re-checked it. It worked
