yeh, here I am, minding my own business, working on my small database, and... I am trying to create a new form using the form wizard. Suddenly, I realize there is something wrong. It doesn't matter which table I pick the only field on the wizard available to pick is the first one(and the only one). The same thing is happening to all other wizards. Swithchboard wizard doesn't work at all. AutoFormat doesn't have any templates available anymore. Input mask wizard fails. And so on. I use Access 2003. I have no idea what I did to make it get corrupted? I reinstalled Office several times, updated it too. nothing helped. When I open my database on a different computer it works fine. So the problem is on my comp.
Does anybody know what's going on and how to fix it? I couldn't find any info on this subject

Some kinds of corruption can only be fixed by completely uninstalling Office. It seems that uninstall leaves pieces in various places. I don't have a link but search the Microsoft knowledgebase for "complete uninstall" and hopefully you'll find the instructions. When you reinstall, make sure to choose custom so you can install ALL the wizards, helpfiles, and samples.

I've tried to find the info about uninstalling but it wasn't succesfull. Tried to delete(rename) some random files under different microsoft/office folder after uninstall. Reinstalling again didn't help. I even installed office 2000. I wasn't surprised to find out that the errors are still there. Although, all the problems occure when some kind of wizard invoked(autoFormat, inputmask , auto Form, auto report) I believe the wizards are not corrupted (because they are completely reinstalled very time I reinstall Office). There is something else involved in this process. Here are some errors I receive when invoke the wizards: "There is unexpected error creating the table", "no current record", "Invalid use of Null", "The wizard is unable to create your form/report", "The input mask wizard only works with text or data field types(But it is a text field!!!!), "Data type conversion error" ... I haven't be able to find ANY info on this problem. Please, I need help!!!!!!

You may receive the "Microsoft Access can't find the wizard" error message when you use wizards in Access 2003
You may receive "This feature isn't installed, or has been disabled" error message when you use wizards in Access 2003

If the wizard doesn't start

This could be due to the fact that Access is running in sandbox mode but Microsoft Jet 4.0 SP8 or later is not installed on your computer. Jet 4.0 SP8 or later is required for Access to be fully functional when sandbox mode is enabled.

For more information about installing the Jet upgrade, see the Office Online article About Microsoft Jet 4.0 SP8 or later, at http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/preview.aspx?AssetID=HA010489351033.
Enable or disable sandbox mode

Thanks Pat, but I've seen those articles and even reinstalled Jet 4.0 And another thing: there is no problem starting wizards. I can start it, go through it and even finish it in some instances. For ex.:
when I try to create a new form using wizard I pick a table but only one field is displayed (first field) to choose from for my form. It happens every time-the process can see only one field in any of the tables/queries.If I continue, next problem is that autoformat choices are empty, and at the end of the wizard it says that it is unable to create a form, although it does display it with some weird dark background.

Yes, but is Jet running in sandbox mode and is that causing the problem?

I have tried both in sandbox and out of sandbox mode. I am the only one working with the file. I had it off. I've never played with the security settings until now.

I have the same problem with MS ACCESS 2010, the wizards are also not working. Can I apply the same solution to my problem. Thanks!

Access 2010 doesn't use Jet. It uses ACE so the solutions above won't work.

1. Is the database in a trusted folder?
2. Are the wizards turned off? You can turn them off in earlier versions. I don't have A2010 on this PC so I can't look.
3. Not working isn't a very good problem statement. Do they give errors, do they not start? Do they start but not finish?

Hello Pat thanks for replying. My MS Access 2010 doesn't have problem when starting but when I click , say e.g. the form wizard, the message goes this way: This feature isn't installed or has been disabled. To install this feature re-run the MS Access........
But when I try to rerun or reinstall the program, same error will appear.
Thanks!

Sounds like you need to uninstall office and then do a custom install so you get all the wizards and samples.
