To begin let me think all who have help me in the past!!!
As of now I am trying to go back and secure many of my data bases for one reason or another. The first is due to individuals authorizing work to be done and not have the authority to do so.
I have a database that many people use to enter items for different project. (Named: Beta Punch Program). I have many tables as well as relations to most. All information is entered through the use of forms. And reports are printed as work orders.
To start I would like to Secure the Data Base using groups and users. As there are several groups that will have different level of access.
Name
Admins
SolarTurbinesPM
TFCoordinators
TurboFabInspectors
TurbofabPersonnelDep
TurbofabProduction
Users
When setting up the security I would like for the data base to recognize who is log in at that time so that that individual will have the rights that are available to there group. If that individual has not logged into the data base I would like for the data base to open a form and allow the individual to enter his or her information and base on a drop down box with the different groups, be assigned to that group
with groups access rights. Is this possible?
