Would like to change a messagebox for a required field. How?

I have a field that must have a response. When the field gains focus but nothing is selected from the combobox and someone tries to change to another field, a generic Access message box pops up and says that the field is required etc, etc.

I don't like the message and would like to customize it. Can I do one of the following:
a) Change the message to something better
b) Only show a message on exit that they have not entered a value in the field and that this must be done before they exit

Any ideas would be appreciated.

You can use your option B, but if they use the mouse to skip your field they will never get a message. Suggest that you put some code in the forms Before Update event to check to see that all the proper fields have data and then pop up the message if they have forgotten something.

Thanks for the info. I am already working on something like that so hopefully it will work.
