Hello all,

I Have a pdf with some fields (kind of a template file).

I have an access app that has the info to write in that pdf, and i don't want to do it with a pen, but in an automatic way, and then save it as a new pdf file to deliver in the governamental agency, homologation car purposes.

Is there a way to write in the existing PDF fields ?

I'm using MS Access 2003

Thanxs

When dealing with any type of Government Agency you will want to verify they will accept the data entered by a computer and not manually written in (most likely will but some agencies have very rigid guidelines).

VBA can't natively create PDF files, you will need something from Adobe (or others) to manipulate and create PDF files. Most of the software to do this costs a nominal fee and will give you the libraries (DLL files) you need to call from VBA.

Now if it is truly a template file and it already allows you to type in the data you could look at opening the file in a PDF viewer and sending keystrokes to the window, but I would advise against this method as it is not very reliable.

Hi,

But do you know the name of any software that allows me to write in the pdf files, the nominal fee, it's not very important, because it will only work in two pc's, so the cost should not be very high.

Thanxs
