XP and 2000 coexisting

I have recently installed Access XP on a machine which already had Access 2000, I chose to install it to a different directory and save all previous versions. Whenever I run the 2002 version the next time I run the 2000 version it runs through the "configuring Access 2000 for use" stuff for about 45 seconds, is there any way to stop this???????????
