XP - Briefcase replicator...????? (1 Viewer)

I am using Access 97 on XP and wish to use the Briefcase replication feature included with MS Office.

I have installed the Briefcase feature from the CD but the icon does not appear on the desktop as it should? Is this a known bug in Office 97 and sufficient reason to upgrade to Office XP or is there something further I need to do ........????
