(XP) - Folder windows - blue bar on the left

I am working in XP. Whenver I open a file folder window, there is a vertical blue bar on the left that contains folder and navigation information. This is a standard format for this version. Is there any way to get rid of that bar, or at least hide it? THANKS.

Change it in Tools > Folder Options. Tasks > Use Windows Classic Folders.

You can use different themes to to make it different. I like the zune theme personally
