Hi Dears,

I have an error message ("You don't have exclusive access to the database at this time.
If you proceed to make changes, you will not be able to save them later") in the case of another user using the DB in the same time .

The database has the following :
- Created by Access 2003
- Located in a PC that other users can access to according to Work Grouping File
- It’s shared (Tools>Options>Advanced>Shared)

Could anyone tell me how to solve this?
Kind Regards,

are you trying to make amendments to a db that is open?

Hi Dennisk,

I think that i found a solution part and the remainder is :

The (Read-Only Group) users still suffer this message unless I offer the _Open Exclusive_ option to that group ! and I don't want them to have it .

How to solve this ? even that it happens DURING Opening the DB .

Keep in touch ..

The problem can occur if the first person opening the database has inadequate permissions on the folder holding the database. That person must be able to create and delete the .LDB file. When this is not possible, WINDOWS locks the file in a way to make it non-shared. Access is only doing what it thinks it is being told.
