The long awaited zooming feature has recently been enabled in the Access 365 Beta Channel.
I have written a short article giving my initial impressions of the feature and outlining what is available now and what is still to come.
https://isladogs.co.uk/zoom-feature-enabled/

As with all features whilst in beta, some features are still being worked on and some bugs are possible.

Zooming can be done in several ways for supported objects /scenarios:
  • Zoom button on the ribbon Home tab

  • Zoom slider control on the status bar

  • Using the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Alt+'Plus' and Ctrl+Alt+'Minus'
  • Using Ctrl + Mousewheel scrolling
A new teaching callout outlines the different approaches available:

EDIT: Just discovered there is also a new Default Zoom option in Access Options | Current Database:

Will this eliminate the need for automatic form resizing module?
Eventually - at least that was my hope when the A-team asked me to advise on the feature set.
However, the zooming feature is not yet complete and won't be for several months.

Also, the feature will only be in 365 so automatic form resizing code will still be important for all those with older versions.
