Dealing With Ugly Buttons (1 Viewer)

I recently started using Access 2007 and I was expecting better command buttons but I'm still getting the same old crappy buttons. I included a picture of my button and one closer to what I would like. Is there some setting to get a better looking button or do I have to import a new control?

If you download one of the sample databases provided by Microsoft you will find there is a nice selection of button's available within them.

having said that - you can resize your button and change the pic to text

the only difference then is the fancy blue border round your button. - which admittedly does look nice, but i bet your users are more interested in functionality

Have you set access to use windows themes? jpeg attached shows location in 2003 just a thought

I believe all you need do is enable:
OfficeButton>CurrentDatabase>Use Windows-themed Controls on Forms

Thanks! That's just what I was looking for. I know it's just aesthetic but it was still bugging the hell out of me.

No problem RG pointed out the menu option for 2007 so credit go's to him and the standard stuff is a bit bland when your used to the current windows interface
