Hello,

I'm an amature with databases!

I have designed nine forms in a database but for some reason two of them are showing blank screens when I move from design view to form view. I cannot see where I have gone wrong on these last two as all of the data is showing in design view.

Any suggestions would be most helpful please?

Many thanks

Jan

Hello,

I had this same problem but then once went to design view n then back to form view ...it worked ...I'd ask u to give a try...Good Luck

It may be that there are no records to show, try adding a test record?

Thanks guys - I've manualy entered data and - surprise! - One of the forms is now working!

Unfortunately he other is still blank even with records now in the datasheet?!

the form is not quite fixed - and the clue is that you have entered the data manually

if you have a non-updateable form, (or you have set allowadditions=false) and no records to display - then you get a blank form.

By creating a record in the table, you can see it - but you won't be able to edit it in the form.

Hi Dave,

The form "holiday" is supposed to be used as a data entry interface. Once the entry is saved is is saved on to the datasheet form "holidays_toil".

Data Entry is "Yes" and I have cross checked the property sheet against those that work and they are all the same?!

Janet, did you sort this out, because I am having the very same problem! My form is a complicated 5 tabbed affair that, as I'm a newbie too, has taken me days to create and now it doesn't show in form view, but I can see it in design view. HELP!!

Sarah

Hi Sarah, no I never recevied a response so unfortunately the database is useless until I get a response - Anyone out there who can help?

Hey, just wondering if you guys ever resolved this as I'm in the same boat?!

Hope you did in the end!

:)

Guys, this issue has a known cause and a solution. Here is the description of the problem by a guy you should acquire the habit of going to for ideas when everything else fails -> http://allenbrowne.com/casu-20.html

Good luck !

Best,
Jiri

You will very seldom be given better advice than this! Some of the articles you find on Microsoft's Access help site are actually Allene,s. Here's the link to his main page, with a huge listing of articles, hacks, etc, neatly divided into subjects for easy reference:
