The comment I remember of duty free had clearly been to Calais to know the supermarkets booze run things were shut? It was just a terminology mistake/confusion. The idea they hadnt travlled and so it wasnt Col is wrong.

Cols clever, I like Col. Marlin47 is Col - I cant believe you think its not. The sheer number of "coincidences" and shared knowledge, behaviour , attitude and timings bewteen the two - both on this site and others are too great to be dismissed.

Funny how Col is one the first to "notice" Marlin may have left!

Marlin left because in no certain terms I told him to feck off as I had found him out for the big liar he was, to which he threw his toys out the pram accused me of being a deformed person and them promptly F'd off...

Col has more class than that twat ever had, so unless Col is having a laugh with us all then I don't believe that they are one and the same person...plus we found Marlin47 on a dating site, and Col simply isnt that good looking... :p

You missed the point, sure there is no duty free in the EU. But there is outside and he claims to have travelled widely so to say, as he did, that there was no duty free shows he hasn't travelled widely.

For the record , and I did state this on another thread , Col had PMd me to say it wasn't him, we banter and argue but Col has always been straight with me in PMs , he could have changed but I doubt that he would lie, and of course he had no need to. The style of prose was not Col's.

You have lost me on the duty free things again. I have travelled enough in and out of the EU and I am still confused what either you or Marlin47 mean via this duty free now.

All he meant was the calais supermarket thing had shut.

I read that Col had PM'd you. I think Cols having a bit of fun with you.

The style of pose was not Cols? No its Col pretending to be somone else! Who when caught, pretended to be Col! And how funnily accurately they managed that!

He mentions "eastenders" Calais later on to back up what he is saying - what kind of person would say that , maybe someone who gets the ferry, from the south of England, with a car or a bike maybe (other wise why not fly) who maybe drinks and smokes - Ah yes just like Col! You may be right though the knowledge may be more based on Calais than actual trips to Havana - has Col done much of that recently?

I agree with the logic that maybe Col hasn't actually been to Havana.

The confusion of duty free in the EU - you say the same thing as him - there isn't any duty free in the eu? So on that front can we assume you recent EU travels are similar? And that's not that your EU travel is non existent, as I know you have been EU and beyond a plenty. Maybe Col recently has only been EU plenty, not really Havana, or Bentley shopping in the US etc etc

I looked at your link, and wow col knows the distance between Dover and Calais, I doubt that there is a chap of our vintage that didn't know that since his schooldays, don't think much of your evidence.

BTW the response of marlin that I posted earlier was to your reference to trips outside of the EU, including the US, I always brought duty free home from there. He only mentioned Calais after you had pressed him.

I'm bored with this now I doubt that you will ever believe any evidence that Col and Marlin are not one and the same, it is possible that you are correct , I just don't think so.

I think the more interesting one the one where he talks of getting the ferry through Calais? As I suggested he did. and sits happily alongside any crossing to Santander?

I never pressed him to bring up Calais - he did hat as his first resort of knowledge on the subject!

Try searching the phrase a tinkers cuss or shite - only ever used by marlin 3 times or before Marlins time just Col Or even how often Calais has been mentioned = loads presumably - well outside of reply or quote, 1 Marlin, 2 Col, 2 BarryMK EVER. The KenDodd post alone takes some refuting - as you said yourself - his fingerprints all over It.

Theres plenty more "coincidences" .......

It may not be Col,but it many many times more likely It is him than It isn't.

I (Col) have never been to Havana. Too near to America for my liking. I never buy fags and booze in Calais. I always buy Spanish fags (Fortuna) in a Spanish fag shop in Zaragoza where I pay half the UK price and always have a receipt to prove I paid tax. I am going again in October but by plane as time is too short to take the bike.

I am not Marlin, never have been. I only belong to one forum (this one).
