One of the reasons that I promote podcasts and videos is because of something significant that Jordan Peterson described.
He explained that our view of the world over the past 20 or 30 years has been distorted by the fact that television needs to get a message across within 5 minutes, 10 minutes at the most.
This necessity of the way television programming is produced has the inherent problem that decisions have to be made about what information the media conveys. In other words, it automatically has a built-in biased because of the way the system works.
I thought this video clip was relevant to the above and there are other explanations from Jordan Peterson which I will post when I happen to find them....
I particularly like "There is a House" because me and some mates drunk in a car, (one lad had a guitar) sung the most fantastic rendition of it .. Bear in mind we were all drunk, and in reality it was probably terrible!
In this Spotify video Joe Rogan meets Mr beast, who is a top YouTuber. The guys story where he just didn't like going to school and would truant on YouTube joined up with a few mates with a similar problem with school and between them my spent thousands of hours learning YouTube. The basic question was why does a YouTube video get so many hits? The effort they put into this has made Mr beast a top YouTuber.
I just know you will love this interview... Enjoy!!!
