I was listening to a podcast recently and heard something deeply disturbing about the Catholic priests involved in child abuse cases. It wasn’t just the abuse itself—there was an even more insidious layer.
Some priests reportedly took confessions from children and then used those private admissions against them, exploiting their revealed misdemeanors as leverage to manipulate and coerce.
