If the shoe fits, wear it - regardless of whether it is a popular size. And, to the degree that ANY of those states have accepted Islamic customs and laws (such as but not limited to Sharia), yes. Many sects within Islam are inherently anti-Semitic.

Yes. Many of them have either Muslim majorities or large Muslim minorities. Many of the South African countries harbor the escaped Nazis and their offspring.

When you flatly disregard history, you are showing your bias. You don't even know that Gaza has been free of Israeli control for more than 20 years do you? What does that say about your knowledge of world history? What Has Hamas done in the past 20 years with the billions of dollars in aid money? Did they make Gaza into the Singapore of the Middle East? No, they (the leaders) escaped to Qatar and other welcoming places where THEY live in luxury and they made Gaza into a hellhole for the cannon fodder. Including by tearing up the water pipes to turn them into rockets which they use to kill Jewish children and stealing food from the mouths of their own people. And we won't even mention keeping their own people hostage to use as cannon fodder. Pretty poor choice. try to escape and Hamas shoots you in the back. Stay and be a human shield and take your chances with Israel.

If you (and the rest of the terrorist lovers here) want us to take any of your statements seriously, you might start by acknowledging simple historical FACTS. No politics. No judgement. Just actual History!
1. History (the bible) tells us the Israelites lived in the current land of Israel 3500 years ago at which time there was no group calling themselves Palestinians. So the Jews were there first. PERIOD.
2. Israel left Gaza to rule itself 20+ years ago. They even dug up their dead so the Palestinians would not be able to desecrate their graves. They left the businesses and housing intact so the Palestinians could use it. Hamas destroyed most of it immediately rendering their civilians jobless since the Jews were running many of the businesses.
3. Hamas was elected to govern Gaza after the Israelis left
4. The Hamas charter specifically promises to "kill all the Jews".
5. The chant "from the river to the sea" is about clearing ALL Jews from the territory formerly known as the Palestine Mandate which was a remanent of the Ottoman Empire which was disbanded at the end of WWI and from then until 1948 administered by the British.
6. In 1948 the British left the Palestine Mandate and since the Muslims would never agree to any division that gave Israel even a square centimeter of land, the Brits made the decision. Gaza, Samaria, and Judea to the Muslims. The rest to the Jews. The day after the UN voted to agree to the partitioning of the Palestine Mandate, the neighboring Muslim countries invaded Israel. The Israelis fought them off and won the war but had no reason to protect the Palestinian territory and so Egypt gobbled up Gaza and Jordan gobbled up Samara and Judea and kept them until the 1967 war.
7. The 6-day war is history so read it. When the dust cleared, Israel had won again and acquired Gaza, Samara, Judea, and the entire Sinai. The country that wins the war, gets to keep the spoils. That's the way wars work. This one is no different from any other war. If the Muslim countries had won, they would have taken ALL of the land of Israel and expelled the Jews and I'm pretty sure the antisemites would have been perfectly OK with that.

That's enough at this point. Once the history is agreed to, we can discuss potential solutions but NO solution will ever include Israel laying down and dying. They are not the attackers in ANY of the wars. They are always the defenders but since they are fighting for their very existence, they take war seriously and play to win.

I think that is what I was referring to. Is there something about "unilateral" that you don't understand?

The rest of it outlines how bad Hamas actually is and that Israel finally started fighting back.

"Palestine" has been stolen at least twice from the people who call themselves "Palestinians" and they are so completely obsessed with their hatred of Jews that they keep blaming the Jews for their woes. How stupid can a group be? Egypt and Jordan stole their chance to be self governing in 1948. Actually it was their own fault but we'll let the Muslim neighbors take the fall. Then when Hamas "stole" control in a "rigged" election, they lost their chance again. WHY is either of those the fault of the Jews?

PS. Review #707 and lets everybody just stop and discuss the historical points. We can include the ones in moke's rebuttal since they are also accurate.

This conversation is going no where. I'm trying to relay ACTUAL HISTORY so you can understand that this conflict was not started by the Jews and too many of you refuse to acknowledge the actual FACTS and are blindly supporting the terrorists. The history is very complicated and not well covered in our history books. You have to have an interest in the area to go beyond the basic facts of what happened after WWI and what happened in 1948 and what happened in 1967 and what happened in ... and ... and ...

Replying as a moderator, I will state that I have watched the interplay here. Since I participate in this forum, I cannot claim a lack of bias, but in the past (and Pat would confirm this, because I have annoyed her more than once) I have stepped in and tried to tone down the rhetoric. Lately, she has stayed inside the guidelines. So have you, amorosik. (For which I thank you both.)

Taking off the "moderator" hat, we have to come back to the historical fact that every so often, another peace accord comes into play and things quiet down. Then, without warning, there is another attack.

There is an old saying, "Money is the root of all evil." Variants make that "Love of money is the root of all evil." I have to disagree on this one, though. Blind, unreasoning hatred over cultural differences is the root of all evil. Many sects within Islam hate the Jews.

My basic question is simple and if you can't answer it, your other arguments become questionable: When your enemy publicly and repeatedly vows to kill you and your families and friends without exception - and in fact attempts to actually do so, do you have the right to use lethal force to defend yourself? YES or NO? Don't bring in side arguments. Don't look for "Yes but..." cases. YES or NO?

The Palestinians are proposing genocide against Israel. The Palestinians have been instigating barbaric genocidal attacks against Israel for years. The Palestinian rallying death chant of: "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free" is a call to exterminate all Jews. The Palestinians, in their wanton murderous rage have killed many Israel citizens. Israel has a right to protect itself.
