Witricity is great but it's not new.

Tesla did an effort in 1899 transmitting 100 million volts of high-frequency electric power wirelessly over a distance of 26 miles at which he lit up a bank of 200 light bulbs and ran one electric motor.
Unfortunately he ran out of funds to continue his experiments.

It may not be "new" but it hasn't been perfected yet, so if it does get perfected it would be big.

I was thinking the same thing when I read the name of the thread. I was hoping that someone had come closer to perfecting Teslas idea for the wireless electricity.

now just to perfect the earthquake machine

they have done some stuff on this which is funny as the other day , I was pulling someones leg by asking if they had a wireless extention cable for their PC -- it got a chuckle at the time , but now its do-able

And Fifty2One has done this before... one day I noticed that my RadiationKing microwave oven made the dental work in my mouth hot... it also lit up a fluorescent bulb from 10 meters away and the television in the parlour got a channel from Moscow when I was making popcorn
I also noticed that aircraft would turn right overhead when I was cooking supper...
...shortly after two people in dark suits came in my driveway in a Suburban with blacked out windows saying they were with CSIS and took the oven ...
