Managing knowledge that is used infrequently

Well now, to know about know how is to know how, and little does Brian know that if he knew the little I know then he'd know a little. That's all I know.

But isn't modern education about learning more and more about less and less.

"When I started many years ago I knew very little about almost everything but now I know almost everything about very little. ":D:D

This thread has given ME a headache, and that doesn't happen often. Congratulations you guys...

We didn't know, but now that you know and you know that we know, we can all sleep soundly knowing we know.

How can you know it actually was this thread? I find that a bit. . . . . you know.

The trick is to know the things you don't know.
That way you can stick to the things you do know.
For the things you don't know...
Hire a contractor.

That's probably due to the fact that you didn't record where you left the trumpet, Adam. Now that's mismanagement of knowledge. :p;)

Yeah, I guess it is. But that's been about 3 years ago now. :p

I see that you misunderstood what you thought I said, but I wonder if you realize that what you heard wasn't what I meant to say anyway...

Doc Man

Are you trying to be deliberately obtuse? Kindly remember clarity is everything in communication - you know?:p:D.

And I always thought it was Americans who couldn't understand irony!!:D:D

"Knowing what you don't know"

Truth is if you know you don't know you know more than most, and by default, you have defined the parameters of what you don't know. So you do know something about the unknown - even if its less than you would like to know, you know where to start...If you choose to accept it!

As G.I. Joe would say, "Knowledge is half the battle!"

And as Descartes said on this very subject of philosophical musings upon knowledge - "F***ed if I know. What was the question?:p

Sorry Barry,
but I think you meant this :

As G.I. Joe would say, "Knowledge is half the battle!"

And as Yogi Berra would say, "90% of this game is 50% mental."

(Actually, he DID say that once.)
