Thanks to ten years of Bliar and the stupid labour party kids now control our streets ...

Since you're almost 22 now,I reckon you're one of them kids ?;)

I don't live in the inner city;)

Just have to wait until a close friend of relative of Sir Al Aynsley-Green gets attacked, killed, threatened or violated by a knife with a young person on the business end of it and then the Children's Commissioner for England will probably roll over his own words and decide what is better for the GREATER good of the majority of the people.
In Canada the have just as stupid laws to protect the criminal element, what ever happened to hard time, labour camps, chain gangs, etc?

I would say that a stop and search would only antagonise the ones who were up to no good.

Then arrest them for obstruction of the duties of a peace officer and send them to the moors for a month with a shovel to dig peat.

On our local news not 15 mins ago was a report of a man getting beaten senseless by 5 youths he confronted after they threw a stone and broke his lounge window.

Also in the UK there were 2 or 3 killings by stabbing over the holiday weekend.

Unfortunately I don't think any current politicians will actuall y do anything effective to stop this trend which has been going on for longer than the present disastrous government.

its a basic lack of respect , who's to blame , the list is quite long - but pointless , you could state that respect for elders was lost after WW2- and the culture revolution of the 60's .. the children of the 60's may(note may0 have been lax's in their parenting skills this shortfall then has been passed on to their grandchildren , at the same time we had a influx of other cultures, also mass unemployment during the thatcher years .. coal miners , left a lot of people without social role models , we do not have any real role models for the younger genreation to look at ... a lot of the pop stars are drugged up to the hilt ... glamour girls are just above porn models (Paris Hilton comes to mind, but there are others)

I rant ...
much as i hate my goverement - i don't think i can totally blame them for this ,
schools , parents must take some blame - (Parents should be the role model that children follow), so crap parents will lead to crap children )

Start shouting from the rooftops.........what a negative question

How about...
writing to the editor of your local paper
writing to the Minister of Justice and the Home Secretary for more police and tougher jail sentences
writing to the Minister of Education as to why these young people have no job skills, no education and therefore no hope.

That would be somthing positive.

Are you kidding? You mean actually do something that might matter?

It's much more fun to just blame America on these forums and mis-quote people.

Who has been misquoted?

I know Americans do it sometimes, but that's usually due to their inability to understand English grammar.
